Having lived on the Gold Coast we had annual passes to Sea World so we could take our kids any time even just for an hour. There's lots of theme parks to go on rides or see shows but for an inspiring experience of nature you really can't go past Sea World.

Their exhibits got you up close and engaged with the way the animals experience life in the sea and every time we went we saw it amaze and entertain people of all ages.
There is the obligatory funny Sea Lion show, an excellent above and below water Polar Bear enclosure and an above and below water reef environment at Shark Bay. There's also a new (multi level fully frozen) Antarctic Penguin environment, Sesame Street show the little ones loved and the Dolphin shows and up close experiences that more than once I saw make people who were new to dolphins oooh, aaah and tear up to.

There's also a acrobatic type pirate/ski show, a water park to cool down in summer and some rides and coasters for big and little kids. Food was average theme park fare but we used to take our own rolls and waters.

Over all I'd rate this as a must do on the Gold Coast. :)

So, to start with i would like to tell you about the famous Aam Panna, a drink of Northern India made out of unripened mangoes. The drink is major hit in all parts of North India during the extreme heat climates of mid April to July end. You can buy this from any beverage shop or vendors, and a huge glass costs merely 50 cent (USA currency). A bit of black salt is added to the drink to make it taste sweet, salty and sour at the same time.. A very tasty drink and a must try. It is highly valued as per medicinal properties, containing a lot of vitamins and other nutrients plus being a really good heat beater..

If there's one fun thing that the Kiwis brought to Davao, it's the Zorb. Invented in New Zealand, it's an inflated ball that you strap yourself into and go along for the ride as it rolls down the hill.

When Zorbing, it is good to be in pairs since a ball needs two people to roll. We were strapped down tight and the Zorb was rolled into poistion, with both persons horizontal. With one big push, we were rolling down the hill.

It was loads of fun. It's not the most adrenalin packing activity out there but it definitely gave us a thrill. It was over too soon. I definitely wanted the path to be much longer.

They said that they would also be bringing in the Hydrozorb. When they do, I'm definitely visiting them again.

There aren't many day trips in Sydney better than Taronga Zoo. The best day at the zoo starts early in the morning with a ferry ride from Circular Quay. Then there are so many things to do that you shouldn't leave until closing time!
There have been a lot of improvemnts to the enclosures at the zoo in recent years, and what used to be cramped conditions (especially for the big cats) are now spacious interesting environments. The new Asian elephants are great to see too.
During the day you'll want to go to the seal show and birds of prey show, and feed the giraffes, and enjoy some lunch and/or a coffee at one of the lovely cafes or on the grass with a great harbour view.
